I bought this as a Christmas gift for my wife. She really wanted a digital radio. I did my research and knew that, as a Kiwi, she’d really appreciate internet radio far more.

The sound out of this digital radio is more than ample for a room in a normal house. It may not cut it for a young persons party with lot’s of people drinking booze and talking loudly. But for a normal run of the mill I want to listen to music whilst I chill out.... it’s awesome.

I found it was fairly straight forward to connect up to the Wi-Fi. If you have a new wifi modem it’s very easy however I have an old one and still hooked it up.

The iPod function is really neat.

Internet radio is phenomenal. You really do have thousands of radio stations to choose from. Don’t fear though as this Kogan radio has a very intuitive search function. You can search radio stations based on genre and location. It’s funny to hear advertisements for the “local” store in Canada when you’re in Brisbane ;-) Searching via Genre is awesome as well.

If you love music and you love variety GET an internet radio. And in my humble opinion you can’t go wrong with this one.

On the minus side though - the remote is small. I can easily see my missus losing this one :rolleyes: It’s only a matter of time. LOL

Great radio sound is very good, bought a dearer one that is no where near as good. Could have a larger screen but other wise a really great buy. Two of my sisters bought them after seeing mine. Very easy to set up no problems at all.

Bought it from e-bay Kogan's store few days ago. I have huge professional experience in audio (studio work + regular hardware experience) and from my background prospective I try to find something really usable for my home audio needs. When I switch ON first time my new Kogan I understood - this is DREAM DEVICE!!!

1) Sound power - for regular use you can switch 5 - 6 from 20!! Only 5 - 6, because over 6 you can start your Friday home party! Great power reserves allow to do everything you like (for example support with good music your house cleaning with noisy vacuum cleaner).

2) Fantastic bass and treble! Guys from Kogan organize sound drivers in very smart way - two side dynamics provide powerful main flow bass + cover all middle range + bass channel on the bottom provide spectacular low bass. Never seen something powerful like this in so compact version! Twitter on front cover all spectre of hi level frequencies and working as a Hi Fi finish on top of global sound picture! I will say again - for so compact device sound picture quality with no doubts is 20 stars from 10!

3) Great display! Look like hi-res colour drawing on black paper - 100% visible for all ages and remind about BMW or Audi information panel (I mean square pixels style and picture quality)

4) Choice of functions cover all needs - perfect Internet radio, 100% with Ipod/Iphone, DAB and FM as an additional bonus. Alarm + Snooze + Calendar + Great big number clock! Menu is user friendly and very well organized and I am sure - for most part of users Kogan menu is understandable without any manual! Internet radio is organized on hi level - you can choose from genre, country, etc. Impressed fast connection over Wi Fi and also helpful automatic upgrade over network function!

5) Stylish design and very well organized function buttons.

I really like it and satisfied with all functions, design and build quality for 200%!!

Would like recommend KOGAN Internet DAB De Luxe for everyone who try to find some good quality replacement for laptop sound and also like to switch off computer without missing music and news. For Ipod/Iphone users -must have device with great range of everyday functions.

One word... WOW!!!!! This product is amazing to say the least. Unfortunately I can't get Digital Radio in my area but the WIFI / LAN capabilities allows me to stream so many radio stations that it isn't funny. Also my iPhone works perfectly with this unit.

Very impressed! If only I had one request, please supply a DAB+ radio with an F Type connector for people like me in a DAB+ reception fringe.

Excellent internet radio. I had a OXX internet radio until it packed up. The Kogan's wifi is far superior to the OXX. The OXX wifi kept dropping out, The Kogan never loses its wifi connection, plus it comes with a remote

Delivery was a fast 3 days, I liked all the features except trying to "feel" the controls in the dark is a bummer, a lighted display would be great. My unit has a problem in that it quits if too cold, clock goes back to "00.00" alarm will not work, and will not turn on at the ON/OFF button. If used in a warm room or climate, it's OK. Works fine here in Indonesia. Definitely considering a second set with more bells and whistles.

Great unit! Easy to set up. A breeze to use. The internet radio is a revelation. Might buy a second unit - the stereo version is very tempting. You do need decent internet download limits though if you use the internet radio a lot. Can't fault it although audio out to external speakers would have made it near to perfect.

Received my Digital/internet radio yesterday..Had no problems setting up until I got to the internet radio..Lots of problems but a mistake on my part in the end even though the instruction manual didnt help. It involved my wifi pw (weps) I kept selecting weps on the setup but should of been skip wpa.Support put me on the right track thanks for that.
Only complaint with Kogan is they dont send inst manuals to save a tree yet in this case I had to print out 48 pages off the net using 48 A4 sheets. Surely a manual is required.
I am over the moon with all the stations from around the world I can receive..working through the features and it keeps getting better. Worth every cent spent for value

Incrediblly easy to set up, I could have done it blindfolded. DAB set up in under 1 minute. Internet Radio setup in 2 minutes. Not a bad looking unit. Decent sound output, but it wouldn't hurt if you output sound to dedicated amp/speakers. The moment I connected the unit to wifi, it updated the firmware over-the-air.
Absolutely happy with my purchase.
