The best service ever received. Bluray players spot on. Work as advertised, delivered as advertised and look good as well.
I have bluray movies from the USA (from Amazon.com),They play with no problems. I brought 3 players, will be buying more as Christmas presents. I have a 100 inch HD projector system with Yamaha surround sound. Avatar movie is............ Unbelievable, stunned with the floating mountains..
I support a charity for wounded soldiers, sent one as a test. They are very happy.
Thank you Kogan

Thanks Kogan for producing quality goods at such a fantastic price. Very happy with Blu-Ray Player that we purchased. We've been using it for a couple of weeks now and continue to be impressed with the quality picture and audio produced by this unit. It's so easy to use. We've also used the USB imput for playing photos, music and movies and have yet to find a file format that it won't read. Well done Kogan - we will definitely purchase other products!

I have been very happy with this player. I initially had an audio problem but Kogan's service department were able to fix this with a firmware upgrade. It is now working perfectly and has been very easy to switch between zones. The USB function is also great including ability to play MKV files. I am looking at buying another. Well done Kogan.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Kogan for the fantastic service it provides in providing this Blu-ray player to its customers who can enjoy wonderful viewing of programmes straight away without a lot of fuss especially with the multi region players.
I have just purchased a blu-ray player and it is the best thing I have done in a long time as I can also watch my old DVD's purchased from all over the world with no problems what so ever and they even appear to show in more detail.
Thank you very much.

I ordered the Blue ray on a Tuesday night in March, when Kogan offered free delivery to all items purchased. The item was delivered early morning on Thursday. Fantastic turnaround time....Well done.

The Blue Ray was very easy to set up and had it going in no time. Plays most DVD's including that recorded on DivX. I have a Panasonic too and you have to look at the list of DVD's that it does not play.

Absolutely delighted with the purchase. As they say, you must be silly not to buy a Kogan Blue Ray. Now looking forward to the PVR I've ordered.

Well what can I say. Having looked at the more expensive Bluray players I wanted one that played multi zone Dvds as I have a large collection of DVDs. I read the reviews on the Kogan player and then took my chances on buying one.
The KOGAN Bluray player is excellent and it is easy to use right out of the box. I would recommend this play to anyone.
The product in my opinion is 9.5 out 10.

I got my Kogan Blu Ray 2.0 profile Player just before Christmas. My nephew got one at the same time delivered to my home. We got a good deal and he is very happy and his previous model is now in the cupboard until he gets his new home and has a TV in another room later this year(2010). I have also recommended this to a local friend who also got one quickly and likes it. I waited until Profile 2.0 which I did need and wasn't keen on putting kits into my Panasonic HDD machine or importing other models that were Region Code Free and have power issues. I like the fast opening unlike the Panasonic which takes as long as to make a good cuppa!!! It does play DVD & DVD-R with what appears upscaling than I am used to but it refused to play my LG DVD-R 16x dubs which play fine elsewhere. I have to say I have had recent DVD discs from a reputable classsic film label in USA that won't play or play properly in the Panasonic but do in the computer but a rip-dub solved the problem. I have yet to try in the Kogan. The label wanted to exchange but wanted some money even though they acknowledge a problem had occurred in some of their discs with certain players.

I did have trouble with two US Blu Ray from Fox being South Pacific & The Robe both of which would not open and I had trouble on the LG Blu Ray Player/Burner in the computer also with these discs. I tried a file rip to the HDD with special software to try and overcome the problem but the file is there but won't open. I got these with other stuff Feb 2009 from Amazon US and a couple of weeks ago they refunded my full money and postage paid at the time. Not being able to contact Fox unless I have a Fox order number(they don't ship outside USA) and no more straight e-mail contact makes it impossible to discuss the matter with Fox and they are not available on release elsewhere yet. I have not had the gltiches so far talked about elsewhere but were used to this kind of thing with major brands in the early days and they broke down and were unserviceable and I could have bought 2 Kogans with change for each one of those 'lost' DVD players. I mention Pioneer and Yamaha. One was about $700 at the time and the latter about $439 at Radio Parts.

RE HDMI: Everyone seems to give AV leads that are pretty well useless to me now for proper usage such as upscaling. I need HDMI and have two or three 5mtr ones(longest I would recommend) and I got mine at Cable Chick under $50 with postage. I also got a device to switch between leads and a small length HDMI into the TV. This helps considerably.

If I get into conversations with people I always recommend Kogan as the best buy for running all discs. And the setup was fast as are most appliances along these days. My late father was a TV technician who ran his own repair business from home from the early 1960s(when CH0 stated up and new biscuits were required in the TVs for the channel to tune in) until till he had a stroke and eventually died in Nov 2003. He loved new gadgets and he would have loved all this new technology and what it could do.

I had looked closely at a PS3 (my neighbour has one) and while they're pretty good, I don't really need the gaming and HDD option (the PS3 has a recorder but thats an EXTRA $170).
So, given that my main objectective was to just play blu-ray and dvd, and other media, this became a really good value option.

Menu system / GUI : Easy to use, intuitive
Loading time : Fast! Batman returns= under 20 secs!
Picture Quality : Awesome - I'm using the big boy - Kogan 47" LCD.
Sound Quality : Fantastic. I can select and tune 7.1 channel sound on my denon DSP with ease.
Remote : Average. Does Kogan have Logitech remote codes?
Value: Excellent. Highly recommended.

Tips: Get this sent to your office, as TOLL / IPEC are hit/ miss with their alleged delivery days.
PLASTIC: There is heat shrinked plastic on the top and sides of this unit. REMOVE this before use, as it obscures the vents.
Ventilation: make sure you have at least 200 mm clear above and at the sides of this unit- for best cool operation. It runs cooler than the PS3 but this is just a recommendation.

Well my Kogan blu ray arrived. Despite being well packed there are a series of small dents on the top cover (looks like the remote was banging against the top during transit). Only noticed them after removing the clingy plastic from the cover.
You ALL remembered to do this right ? If not all the ventilation holes on top are nicely sealed. The player doesn't look cheap and nasty (like some I've seen),loads quickly though the transport is noticably noisier than my Panasonic,Samsung & LG players. There was no info about keycodes to change Blu Ray region (the main reason I bought the unit!) Thank you AVS and the internet. Picture quality & audio playback are fine- just the occaisional "glitch" during playback- it is a cheap player but still disappointing. Overall I'm happy, just need a little more attention to packaging to allow for transport movements.
