I had never purchased from Kogan before, nor seen any of their products in real life. But I am quite experienced in buying online. As such, seeing positive feedback on their products, I decided to take the plunge and buy two of these 26" LCD TV's for our local school.

The product arrived well packed in an outer box, with then another box inside, completely wrapped in bubble wrap. Nice job there. The only niggling thing is that they've gone through all this trouble protecting the TV, yet the remote controls were quite happily floating loose in the box and able to damage the screen (while there was no damage done, it is a concern.

The TV itself feels reasonably well built (we are looking at a 26" full HD TV at bargain basement pricing). The remote is a standout. Very nicely laid out and solid.

I plugged the TV in, turned it on and was welcomed with an initial tuning screen. Choosing for it to tune automatically, the TV quickly found all available channels and the reception quality is outstanding. The image is nice and bright, very crisp and there is no noticeable 'ghosting' effect during faster scenes.

This TV comes with all the necessary connection options and has the now standard USB connection with an additional SD card slot.

Too bad that on both TV's this option doesn't seem to work at all. When you select the USB option, you cannot access the settings or the USB stick. The menu just sits there, frozen. I have tried formating the stick in different formats, using different USB sticks, but to no avail. This is for me a big problem as I was planning on using this feature a lot for slideshows. I have sent a support query to Kogan, so will update my review accordingly.

So, while it has a bit of a glitch in the USB department, I still say it's a good TV with a nice picture quality and a decent inbuilt HD tuner.

I give it 4 stars and if Kogan fixes the USB issue I'll give it 5!

Now lastly, one tip for Kogan. Use a different courier company! Delivery took a lot longer than it should have and the handling of the goods was not at all befitting the fragile description of the goods. One of my TV's had clearly been dropped by the damage on the box. Your very competent packaging saved it from actually damaging the TV itself.

Hi,
We ordered a 26" full-HD TV and a Blu-ray player on your website Wednesday afternoon. By Thursday afternoon we had an email confirming the purchases and indicating the goods would be ready for delivery on Friday (yesterday). All very efficient! When I contacted Toll for delivery details Friday morning I was told it was indeed scheduled for friday delivery, but not yet scanned onto the vehicle for delivery, someone would call me back within 2 hours - 2 hours leter no call, made a second call to Toll, very apologetic and a manager would call me back within 30 vminutes, 30 minutes later no call, called a third time and was put through to a "freight investigator" who put me on hold for 5 minutes and then confirmed he had spoken to the driver who did have my order on-board, he confirmed delivery would be about 2:00pm, he arrived at 1:30pm.
Friday night I had some new toys to play with, all went together well and setup was easy.
In short, I am very impressedwith Kogan, their products and service, BUT, Toll need to get their act together.

Unbelievable value! This TV was delivered in 2 days, a breeze to setup and the picture quality is excellent. The only downside is the speakers but I dont use them I use a 5.1 amp so the surround and dolby sound is good.

With 2 AV connections and the HDMI, USB, SD/MMC card reader and direct connect for PC this TV has all I need to takle todays technology demands with an excellent power rating at only 120w and less than 30ma in standby its as green as it can be.
