This is a great quality frame to look at, the picture is sharp which makes images look very nice when displayed on it.
The only letdown for me is the user interface which is a bit archaic. I could not figure out a way to bulk copy files from my SD card to the picture frame, so I needed to plug the photo frame directly into my computer via USB. The problem is it takes about 10 minutes to load drivers and Windows Vista gives all sorts of errors about it.
After rebooting my PC I was able to copy the pictures to the frame and they do look good when in slideshow mode.
The interface and process for loading from SD card is no where near as good as my Brookstone 10" digital photo frame, but that one cost three times as much so I can't complain really.
If the interface was schmick, and it had ability to display images straight from SD card then I would give it five stars.
I shopped around quite a bit for photoframes using Lassoo, Ebay and Deal Extreme. The Kogan 12.1" was by far the best value. It arrived in a couple of days and I'm delighted with it. Good quality picture, easy to use, more features than comparable frames. Highly recommended.
This frame works really well. Picture, movie and audio quality is surprisingly good. Colours are bright and vivid and slideshow transitions are reasonably smooth.
My only two complaints, and they are minor, is that the remote is fairly horrible to use due to poor tactile movement of the buttons, and the quality of workmanship in the construction of the bezel (screen surround) leaves a lot to be desired. My example has poorly fitting bevel joints at each corner. The corners have been filled with what looks to be a putty of some kind before the frame was painted. Looks pretty dodgy up close. This is probably picky - the idea is to look at the screen content not the frame itself.
I would buy another of these frames. Got mine for $99 plus delivery on a newsletter subscriber discount code.
I bought this frame after looking around at many others. I previously owned a Kodak frame that cost twice the price and was only a 10". The quality of this frame is as good as the Kodak and the Kodak one died after 15 months. This is great value for money. I would highly recommend it.
