Q: How do I stop my TV from turning on automatically?

Q: The built-in DVD player is not working on my LCD/DVD combo.
Please go to DVD-setup => Default => Reset and press enter.
It will reset the DVD player of your TV.
Also make sure that you insert the DVD with the shiny side facing towards you.
Q: How do I use the USB or SD card reader on my LCD/DVD Combo TV?
Please press the AV/TV button and scroll to DVD mode.
Make sure that there is no DVD inside the DVD player and then insert a standard USB memory stick in the USB port of the TV and it will play the audio, video and picture files from it.
Q: Can I connect my TV to an external sound system?
If you have a 26” or above Television then you can connect the coax audio out of the TV to a sound system with coax digital audio input using a Digital Coaxial Cable.
Q: My TV does not pickup all the channels or the display is sometimes pixelated.
This issue occurs when the Digital Broadcast strength is weak. If you are running more than one TV from the Antenna or have multiple connections set up across you house, the signal will be diluted. You can resolve this by purchasing a TV Amplifier and connecting it between the TV and Antenna.
Q: How Do I connect my DVD Player/Foxtel/Other Device to the TV?
The exact method of connecting the Appliance will depend on the connections available and the TV you have. Where possible we recommend using HDMI to connect the Devices as this provides the best quality. Otherwise you will need to use a cable such as Component (Red, Green and Blue) and plug one end into the device and other into the TV.
If you used Component cables then you would have to press AV/TV and scroll to YPBPR. The same idea applies for all methods of connecting devices.
Q: My Kogan TV no longer powers on. What do I do?
- 16-22” LCD TVs
Could you please check if the Green Light on the Power Supply is on and Red light on the TV is? - Other LCD TVs
Please contact support@kogan.com.au
Q: How Do I eject a DVD from my LCD/DVD Combo?
Please make sure you are on DVD Mode and then press the eject button on your remote control. It is the button with a upward pointing triangle and a line under it. It is at the top of the remote.\
Q: What is a Stuck Pixel?
A stuck pixel is a pixel where one of the sub pixels is either permanently on or off. These appear as either white, green, red or blue.
Kogan has a "3 or more stuck pixels" policy for the first 7 days from delivery of the TV. If your TV or digital photo frame has 3 or more stuck pixels within the first 7 days from delivery, we will arrange for a replacement unit.
Stuck pixels tend to go away with time and there are a few techniques you can exercise to get rid of them:

A dead pixel is a pixel that is permanently off. These are best seen on a white background and they are black.
Kogan has a "0 dead pixel" policy for 12 months from purchase of the TV (effective as of 13th July 2010).
If you think you have a dead pixel within this period, please take a photo of the issue and email it to support@kogan.com.au

Digital Photo Frames
Q: My 7” photo frame has marks on the LCD screen. How do I remove these?
There is a protective plastic on the photo frame. You can tell that it is there by looking in the Top Right-hand corner where there will be a cluster of red dots. You need to remove the cover using a small screw driver or pointed tool from any corner. Then when it has slightly come of the corner you can peal it off.
Q: How Do I view photos on the Digital Photo Frame I have purchased?
If you have a 7” Photo Frame you will need to connect a USB or SD Card with the photos on it to the photo frame. Select the correct input and the photos should display.
If you have a 12.1/15” Photo Frame you can do as above or you can also copy your photos to the internal memory of the device. Connect it using the supplied USB cable to a USB port on your computer. The device will appear as a removable disk and you can then copy your files across to it.
Q: Is there a cover on the 12.1/15” Photo Frame?
Yes. You will need to remove the brown protective cover from the surrounding frame of the screen for it to look the same as the website photo.
Q: My Photo Frame no longer powers on. What do I do?
For 12” & 15” photo frame, could you please check if the red light on the photo frame is on?
