Digital Image Stabiliser (D.I.S.)
The DIS technique shifts the electronic image from frame to frame to compensate the motion. It uses pixels outside the border of the visible frame to provide a buffer for the motion. This technique reduces distracting vibrations from videos. It also improves still image quality by allowing one to increase the exposure time without blurring the image.

9/10 from me, rounded up to 10/10 for the price. Ideal for the casual user market targeted. Picture quality on 40" hi-qual HD LCD TV is excellent. Only issue is average quality night time picture quality, but an excellent day time picture.
Mine had a slight intermittent fault, but immediate, hassle free replacement with no arguments,
