I baught this TV, as a interem since it has 3 HDMI ports and is true 1080P. Delivery was very quick which was great. The TV is very easy to use and the menu can be worked out by anyone. With a bit of adjusting picture can be great, Colours are excellent and picture is sharp, but on a down point blacks are not quite black on dark scenes, but picture is quite bright. I agree sound through speakers on tv is not that great can equal the sound quality of my mobile phone, but this is the case for many LCD's these days as most will put it through a sound system. Coax out only supports PCM, which sometimes gets multi CH, but mostly stereo and doesnt support DTS or Dolby Digital Pass through. Overal for the price the TV is unbeatable, great for the kids room, lounge or want a large TV on a budget, but i would go for the LED screens if want a tv for the cinema. It is also great for Gaming and as a computer screen.
I bought this for the kid's play room and couldn't be happier. There's no way I'd want this in the family room - picture is ordinary and sound is tinny - and it does the job. You can play off USB easily... amazing for $500!
