As a direct result of all the great feedback you've been providing, we're very excited to launch the Deluxe LCD TV range today.
They come in 32" and 42" sizes, with LG Full HD panels, built-in PVR for recording and playing free-to-air TV on any USB flash drive or hard disk, and premium SRS speakers.
The USB input also allows playback of multmedia such as video, audio, and photos direct to the TV.
They're also sporting Kogan MotionMax image processing and 120Hz (32") and 240Hz (42") to make sure the fast paced action is silky smooth.
The built in PVR makes it perfect for major sporting events like the World Cup. With games played at all hours of the night, the ability to record any game to a USB stick, then take it with you and put it on your laptop while you're travelling to work is sure to help the otherwise sleep-deprived football fans out there!
Big name brands are throwing money around marketing 3DTV, but what we suspect, and what you've confirmed through our conversations here and on Twitter is that until there is more content and the technology is properly tested, it's nothing more than a gimmick. It was your suggestions in blog comments in the IPTV and 3DTV posts telling us what you really wanted instead of 3D which has helped create the Deluxe LCD TV range.
What we learnt from these conversations was that most Australians aren't after gimmicks which they will barely use, but features with real day-to-day benefits, such as high quality speakers, built in PVR, and USB inputs to allow multimedia playback straight through the TV.
