THE ADVANTAGE OF SHOPPING ONLINE: PRICE

Since you're at the Kogan website you probably already know about the advantages of shopping online.

In case you haven't used them, there are some extremely helpful tools for comparing online prices that demonstrate the ability of online stores to smash traditional retailers.

The demise of bricks and mortar retailers became obvious earlier this year when Clive Peeters went into administration. Their inability to compete on price, value, and transparency led to their downfall.

A quick check of sites like Getprice shows that traditional stores can't come anywhere near online stores like Kogan and eBay in terms of value for money.

iPhone users can get apps like RedLaser that lets you scan any barcode, and instantly find the best online price for that specific product. Walk into any JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, or Bing Lee with your iPhone, scan a barcode, and watch the salesperson panic.

Google Shopper for those with Android phones performs a very similar function.

Does anyone use these price comparison sites or apps regularly? Which ones are your favourites?
