Kogan Technologies has clicked on to Twitter with KoganTech and we’re inviting you to join us for an opportunity to win some of the latest LCD TVs, Blu-rays and Kogan products launching this year.
Twitter seems to be attracting mass media attention and we thought we would get in on all the online action by sharing Kogan news, views and products with you.
I've seen some breaking news posted through Twitter before it even hits the official newswires - it's great. From what I've seen, it's the only service capable of challenging Google as a leading information portal. The great thing about Twitter is it gives you live information and views about any topic - it's the only tool in the world to do that… so far!
We’ve already given away a couple of Blu-ray players and 32” LCD TVs through @KoganTech and plan to offer you regular freebies when you retweet our messages – so be quick!
If you’re not signed up with a Twitter account, it’s very easy to get started and follow us. All you need to do is follow this link and log your email address with a password and you’re away!
Another part of Twitter I’m are beginning to explore is all the useful apps available through Twitter Downloads for your Google desktop, Linux system, iPod, iPhone and more.
We wanted to ask, how you use Twitter and if you think it’s here to stay? I personally think it’s a great news feed to gather useful info on consumer electronics.
Keep an eye out for the most up to date insights on product we’re working on @KoganTech.
Happy Tweeting!

I've been using Twitter for a while now. It's great to throw quick updates that I wouldn't spam my blog with. It's also good for keeping up with what my friends are up to when I'm unable to catch up with them in person.
I use TweetDeck which I find awesome.

I am a self-confessed Twitterholic...is there some 12-step program I should join? ;-) I think it's awesome. Technology never ceases to amaze me...where would we be without it?

Don't know about twitter, I think you should just stick to sending updates to subscribed email addresses on your newsletter, anyways just got some suggestions for your future netbook model, i think in your future models you should replace the VGA port with a DVI port, put the power cable connector on the left side of the netbook instead of the right side so it won't interfere when you are using a usb mouse, also upgrade the wifi to draft-N instead of wifi b/g. I think you're research with the bluetooth is right as i never use bluetooth anyway so you can probably leave this as an optional dongle on both models so that only those people who do use it can choose to buy it, this will save the consumers an extra $10 on the pro model since not many people use bluetooth according to your research. Make the screen LED backlit, this will substantially help extend the battery life of the netbook, also the keyboard should be as close as possible to a full size one. Apart from that it's a really good netbook.

Kogan, I'm all for cheap technology, but I wander how much money the average worker makes to put together your products? Maybe we could ask them on twitter? Probably not I guess...hmmm. Mr Kogan, you must have visited the factories of your manufacturers. Tell us, how are the conditions?

You must have shares in telstra!
Your automated phone service continually disconnects before you get to speak with someone.

A few more questions to add on top, to make sure we get the full picture:
1) What would the average worker in these Chinese factories make in the absence of these factories making "cheap technology"?
2) How many would simply not have any jobs or opportunities if wages and conditions were just raised without increases in productivity?
The fact that people are not only choosing on their own to work at these factories, but are in fact mass emigrating from their hometowns to do so, says to me that people are making their own choice for a better life and more opportunities.
As the Chinese people keep working productively and saving, productivity rises as the availability of real capital makes labour more productive, even as the productivity of labour falls in the Anglo west because we keep spending more than we earn and misallocating resources on debt fueled bubbles. I wouldn't worry about the working conditions of those guys mate, they still know how to work hard and save for a better future, better be careful about the future of our own...

Hey Kogan,
I just farted!
can you bottle it and sell it on eBay?
Bet you could!
By the way, I have an idea for a cool new USB fartmeter. Simply plug it up your ass, fart and the badda boom, it reads the kind of fart you have released!
Guages all farts including wet / silent / curry etc..
Let me know!!
