As I mentioned earlier I regularly travel to China to check out new technology.
Just letting you know I'll be heading off tomorrow. I'll be checking out a couple of potential new products while I'm there:
- An all-in-one slimline box that has a built in DVD player, digital tuner, HDMI output, USB and SD memory card playback (for AVI, DivX, and JPG)
- Sunglasses with built in bluetooth and mp3 player
What do you think of these?

This story at Channel News about home theatre/av integrators in Australia got me thinking today.
It talks about home theatre installers in Australia not taking their business seriously enough, and almost treating it like a hobby. What has your experience of these installers been?
Some of the blog readers have expressed a desire for Kogan Technologies to offer a service to organise installation, like Muriel.

It looks like nervous web-entrant Gerry Harvey is starting to catch on to the benefits of the internet.
He's obviously running into a few issues with the new site for Ofis, but it's an interesting shift.
He's not the only bricks and mortar business moving online, JB Hi Fi are doing the same.

I was in China in December last year, checking out some new technology from some of the big manufacturers. One of the most interesting things I saw was a solar panel bag.
It was basically a backpack that had some solar panels on the top. There was some cabling inside and several ports, so you would be able to plug in your iPod, different brands of mobile phones, and other media devices. I thought it was pretty cool but didn't think there'd be much desire for it.
