Engadget HD wrote an article about the picture-in-picture functionality on TVs.
They had a very mixed response from their readers, and I wanted to see what you all thought.
Personally, I think PIP is invaluable for sport, when you want to keep an eye on a couple of games at once.
Do you use picture in picture, or do you just see it as a gimmick?
DO YOU USE PICTURE-IN-PICTURE?

when done right it can be very handy when using my xbox360 and waiting for a multiplayer game to start i use PIP to watch something else, then when I see the game is starting, I switch back to it. Same with when watching a tv show.. i can swap to something else and use PIP to wait and see when the other show comes back on. I wouldn't use it heaps, but it's still handy.

yep, i say its a over the top gimmick not really needed, im tech savvy and love heaps of features on any hardware, but this PIP is, i reckon, pointless

I find it as a very good thing to keep an eye on what the children are watching while I'm watching something else with the wireless headphones on...

I could not live without it. Especially watching sport (cricket), saves you flicking between channels and missing something.

I can see the pip being extreamly handy when you have a large screen it doesn't affect the watchablity of programs. No gimmic it serves a purpose

PIP is invaluable should be standard on all TVs hey how about multiple PIP would be better seeing that there is so much crap on TV lately and shows never run to time do they?
When are you going to release something over 50"?

Agree with Johno
PIP is valuable and should be standard on all TVs. Don't know if everyone would fancy multiple PIP. But I am up for it.

I have been using PIP for long time. Old Blaupunkt I love so much. I can not imagine TV without PIP. I love news, Current affairs, but hate advertising. With PIP I never miss important news and same time avoid unneceserry loud adds.
