Thank you for all the honest and helpful feedback so far. Recently Chris G, Chumby, Bill, and Graeme have asked for more sizes, and in particular 100Hz panels.
I'm extremely pleased to be able to announce our brand new range of 1080P LCD TVs. They come in 32", 42" and 47" sizes and the first delivery will ship on August 4th, in time for the Beijing opening ceremony.
I'll cut to the chase, because I have always thought price was the most important thing. The 1080p-32 is $999, 1080p-42 is $1449, and 1080p-47 is $1799. At this price and quality, they really blow everything else out there out of the water.
They all come with:
- Full HD 1080p LCD Panel 1920 x 1080 (16:9)
- Kogan MotionMax Technology - enhance fast moving images
- Integrated HD Digital Tuner
- 100Hz Image Processing Engine
- Dual HDMI inputs
- Five High Definition inputs including HDMI/DVI
This range is perfect for any HD content, especially PS3, Xbox 360, and Blu-Ray.
A couple of the new features I'd like to highlight:
The integrated HD tuner is perfect for all the new HD channels, especially the Beijing Olympic Games which will be broadcast in high definition for the first time ever!
The new Kogan MotionMax Technology enhances the picture quality and means sport and action movies will be smooth.
Lastly, the 32" and 42" models will both come with swivel stands!
I'm really excited about these new displays, can't wait to hear what you think.

If you click on the TV size you are interested in and then click specifications you can see exactly what inputs are there. The dimensions of the sets (including stands) is also available.
AS for the panel type, only the 42" says it is an LG panel (is this the same LG that make the sets we see in store?). I also would like to know what panels are used in the 32" and the 47".
Are there any Sydney people out there that have had a presale tv from Kogan delivered before? I am interested to find out if you received it on the day it stated (like these tvs are due on august 4th).

Great to see you're as excited as I am about these!
The 32" TV has a panel made by AUO, and the 42" and 47" have LG panels.
100Hz refers to the refresh rate of the LCD monitor. The 100Hz on these new Full HD LCD TVs means that the image is refreshed more often, producing a smoother image.
The response time varies from 5ms to 8ms, but you can check the individual TV specs by clicking through to the product page for each.
Each TV has multiple inputs, allowing you to use it as a computer monitor. They have HDMI which you can use to connect DVI, as well as standard VGA connections.
About the HD tick -- this new range of TVs actually exceeds the minimum specifications for the HD tick. They have a Full HD 1080p resolution, and a HD digital tuner.
Hope that helps! Keep the comments and questions coming.

If I order 42" LCD HD tomorrow 10.Jul.08, when will I expect delivery to Sydney Metro Area. Is it hard to setup ?
Posted at 11:46 a.m. on July 9, 2008
Ruslan Kogan says...
The HD tick requires that a TV is 720p compliant, and have a HD tuner. These TVs are 1080p compliant with a HD tuner, so they far exceed the specifications of the HD tick. You can read more about this here: http://tinyurl.com/hdtick
The TVs will be dispatched on the 4th of August, so you will have them before the opening ceremony of Beijing! They are very easy to setup, but if you need any help you can ring our customer support or use the online chat and we can guide you through it.
We don't have plans for a 50" in the immediate future, but as you can see we're always adding new products to our range. So keep checking back and hopefully we'll have something for your needs soon.

Ruslan Kogan says...
Thanks for pointing that out Mike, we'll update the specs page.
Breno, the warranty is twelve months, with options to extend it even more.
We are looking at seeking the HD Tick certification. At the moment we're struggling to meet demand so that is taking priority. Once things ease up we will look into this. Rest assured that the specs are more than enough for the 'Tick' though.
Quinton, can you point me to where you looked at information about colour graduation? We have quite detailed specs on the product sheet, let me know if those don't cover it off.

Looks like great TVs at great prices, however I notice that your LCD units specifications don,t define any hard drive capacities for recording purposes. Are integrated hard drives available in your units.? If so what capacities are available for the 42" size of which I,m interested in.? Is there an added cost for hard drives.?
Posted at 9:38 p.m. on July 15, 2008
John says...
It seems the only minor downside to these sets is that they only have 1 HDMI input (where most comparable sets in stores have two or three). Is this so you can then sell us the 3 way HDMI splitter? :p
In answer to the above question about integrated hard drives.. I feel this would add unnecessary cost to the sets.. And with prices on third party units dropping every month I would rather wait and buy a blue ray recordable. If the set was built in then you would be spitting chips when in 3 months u can get a HD three times the size for half the price :D

Ruslan Kogan says...
Hi everyone,
Ray C, we do not make direct comparisons between our TVs and other brands. We can say that we have sold over 10,000 TVs and over 99% of our customers are very happy!
For peace of mind for any quality issues, we offer a seven day money back guarantee if you're not happy with the TV for any reason.
Belinda, they will work in a bathroom but that would void the warranty. Our TVs can handle some moisture but I wouldn't recommend using it for prolonged periods of time in moist and unventilated rooms.
Regarding the panels, we choose the best value for money panel in each size. If you look at the specifications for each product you can get a more detailed breakdown.
Em, we certainly ship to South Australia.
You can extend the warranty for up to five years, there are details here: http://www.kogan.com.au/shop/category/extended-warranty/

Darren, I don't think you understand what best value for money is, it is not having the best product available and selling it for the cheapest on the market, its having an above average product that is priced very competitively.
You don't expect a Bugatti for the price of Camry, same principle applies.

Darren if you want to pay an extra $1k to $2k for a fancy name then go for it.. who cares if one is slightly better than the other..you would not notice unless you intend watching two tvs next to each other at home. Just look at the specs ...then look at other tv specs then go look in a store.. When two lcds next to each other dont look the same you often find that the specs are also different. Also in 12 months there will be even better models of lcds out there..so basically you will always be chasing the 'best' just like pcs... its ok if you have money to burn....but as jimmy says.its value for money that counts.

David and Shane, I would suggest the 4th August pre sale has sold out. This seems to be what Ruslan does. I gather he tries to get a pre sale order and then ships a load here. That way they not sitting on his factory floor gathering dust. It seems like good business sense to me. Have them sold before they arrive therefore he gets the money to keep advancing his products also. As they say in business money talks and if he has it he can bargain with the manufacturers better this way also. Who knows your 30th September shipment could be further advanced than this lot as it seems Ruslan and the Kogan team are always looking for the best at the most competitive prices. Thankfully i got in before the August 4 load sold out. Hoping for a knock on the door tomorrow or Tuesday now so i can have my 32" setup for the Olympics starting Friday. Yippee!!!

Ruslan Kogan says...
I just returned to Australia and have been busy making sure all the orders get out, sorry I couldn't answer some of these questions earlier.
Harry, the TVs do have headphone sockets.
Kim, this is not a feature I have specifically incorporated into my TVs. However, my understanding of the issues is that under the digital broadcasting standards commercials are not allowed to be louder than the program.
Lance Knight, the Blu-ray remote won't control the TV (or vice versa), but one of the products we're looking into is a universal remote control to help consolidate a number of remotes.
Adrian, the brackets for these models are not yet available, but they will be for sale very shortly. Stay tuned!
Jon, I wouldn't recommend mounting this, or any TV, above a gas fire heater.
John B, the TVs have digital coaxial output, which any electronics store can help you with if you don't have the right cables.
Adam, unfortunately we've already driven our prices down as much as possible. You won't find a similar TV for a comparable price anywhere in Australia. As such we don't offer a trade-in deal. However, these products are in such high demand that if you're looking to trade-up, you should consider selling it online. If you require some images for an online auction, we are more than happy to help.
Shane, the panel is just one of the components of an LCD TV. There are only a few major companies in the world that make these. We select the best value for money for each size that we design. For examples, our 32" uses a Hitachi panel, the 19" uses Chimei, and the 42" and 47" use LG. The LCD panels are made in Taiwan and Korea, the majority of the components are made in Taiwan, and the products are assembled in China.
With regards to the shipment date, we have filled all our orders for the August 4th shipment. As you can imagine, this range of products has been extremely popular. The next shipment will arrive and be dispatched in September.

Hi, Was interested in buying a Kogan TV, becoz' I like the price, which is very attractive. Don't like the sound of the LG panels, though. Lg gives a stink picture ( washed out fleshly colours ). I don't want to, but I will probably buy a 46in JVC for $2250, though they may drop a 100 or so from the price, if I show them the cash.
The JVC hasn't got the best spec's around, but the gear they use, make a good tv. I got the manager to put the Tv's on sd television, which is what most of us watch, and it showed up some sickly TV's, man. The JVC looked pretty good.
I may still buy a Kogan, yet. Still thinking about it. One con was that the 46in doesn't have a swivel stand; and I don't think the Kogan has anywhere near the technology that has gone into a JVC.
Why I chose a 46in JVC Lcd over all the other brands and sizes- I don't know? It just appealed to the rebel in me. Cheers

They were operating side by side and I could not see any differences in the picture. Presumably the signal was not full HD. Perhaps the 100mHz would make a difference with full HD.

Getting very nervous that I will still be making phone calls on Friday (opening ceremony date) to see where my new TV is :( I wish that they had it ready for release a week earlier then the buffer for late delivery would not be so tight. Normally an extra week wait for a delivery is no big drama..But in this case where there was a promise of delivery for a special event it gets a bit frustrating.

Hi All,
I would like to confirm that all of the 1080p-32, 1080p42 & 1080p-47 order were dispatched on Friday 1st of August.
We use Toll in2store in Altona, Melbourne to warehouse our TVs.
We use Toll IPEC to deliver TVs.
At 3.30pm on Friday, we received confirmation from Toll in2store that all orders had been loaded onto several Toll IPEC trucks.
Since then, we have investigated many orders and could not find them in the Toll system. Upon launching investigations with Toll, they informed us that they messed up and didn't scan the TVs and that a batch of them was on the way to WA. We had several TVs that were bound for our office which we have not seen yet.
In the last several days, I have escalated this to the highest level of management at Toll including:
Paul Little - CEO Martin Svikis - General Manager Rodney Johnston - IPEC General Manager
They have dedicated unlimited resources to ensure that these issues are fixed immediately. This is as high as I can escalate it at Toll.
Toll are embarrassed with what they have done and I am even more embarrassed. I have arranged for every TV to be delivered to the customer using the Toll Priority service.
Please rest assured that I am working non stop to ensure you receive your TV.

Appreciate the detail and information..from what I have been told and from what I have found out for myself today after umpteen phone calls and various emails..TOLL need to hnag their heads in shame. This has been dragging on for too many days. To think that 5 pallets of product can end up in WA in error...I'm still angry enough to not be able to form a clean sentence about the situation. As far as I am concerned the CEO's of TOLL can get into their frigging vehicles tomorrow and deliver themselves. I have wasted an entire day at home trying to get correct information and nowI have to stay home tomorrow...maybe for another day of TOLL BS..and you can tell them that I hope they do something to compensate Kogan....we are not looking for anything other than the product we purchased 12th June and have waited an extra 3 going onto 4 weeks for beyond the expected delivery date. Fog in Chinese Ports is ohne thing TOLL stuff ups are something else. Good work on Kogans part for getting the info out..but geez..talk about pulling teeth today. So we wait and see what..if anything develops tomorrow.

Hi Neil F,
I have access to 37" 1080p panels from LG and Chimei. I have not introduced this model because the panel is only about $50 cheaper than a 42".

Should I introduce a 37" model to the range?

Arrived this afternoon..easy to set up..as above..no munual needed. I am having people over on Saturday for view to do business with Kogan..I know they will like the product but TOLL is a real problem explaining that away. Thanks to yourself and Dan.

I reckon you keep your system plain and simple- limit the sizes to 26, 32, 42, 46 and 52inchs, after all, we all know that the more choice you have the dearer it gets, buying in bulk lots of one sized product run keeps prices lower, and we benefit from the savings. Keep up the good work Ruslan, it'd be good to have some stock off the shelf to purchase instead of waiting for shipments to arrive, but thats part of the system.

“08-08-08 is not my lucky number”
Have just carefully opened box to set up brand new, top of the range, Kogan 47” Full HD LCD TV, planning to watch the Olympic Opening Ceremony, on in a couple of hours.
My new TV is a “dud” and will not power on despite various attempts and checks. TV has been transported upside down by Toll/Ipec.
You can imagine my disappointment after looking forward to tonight for weeks. To think I am I pissed-off is an understatement after having paid for and patiently waiting for since the 16th of June 2008, almost 2 months ago. I have immediately tried to phone Mr Kogan but no answer, (maybe the staff have all gone to Beijing or home to watch on their big screen TV’s)?
Some observations: The TV arrived in a white cardboard box, lightly packed with 4 polystyrene corners. When I opened the box earlier tonight ,I immediately noticed that the TV had been stored, transported and delivered upside down by Toll/Ipec throughout the entire delivery chain. (evidenced by the soiled box top flaps and box orientation when dropped off). Maybe this has something to do with why it won’t power on? A small plastic bag inside dropped out, and contained a short 3-pin power lead, remote control, 2xAAA batteries, small plastic cover and a small minimalist User Manual. After plugging in the antenna and the 240V power lead, putting in the new batteries in the remote and pressing on the Power button on the right hand side of the TV, I was surprised it would not switch on. I tried holding on the button for a longer time but TV remained dead. I tried another plug in power lead and different new AAA batteries in the remote, electrically checked supply leads and power supply points but all to no avail. I then read the tiny User Manual to see if I hade missed anything but the TV has remained dead.
I have to go now as I need to go to the garage bring in and set up the old cheap ALDI TV thrown out earlier, so I can still watch the Beijing Olympic ceremony. Mr Kogan , you will be hearing from me first thing on Monday as I have taken 2 weeks off work to watch the olympics on my new NOW VIRTUAL TV.

Mr Kogan,
Yes like Les P ... not that happy.
My 32" arrived yesterday - it switches on OK, but there is a dead/stuck pixel ( a green dot ), that is in the middle of the screen. Emailed/phoned straight away... no response at all. That's bad!!!
Now watching the opening ceremony... long shots are OK, but any close in flag waving etc is pixillated to the max (1080i on Southern Cross TV). Why is this... I thought there was motionmax (smooth) ? If if flick back to SD all ok - but I already had a SD panel....
I would send this to support ... but no one home.
Can you give me some answers before my 7 days are up????
Chumby.

Les P not sure if you will come back and read this but the LCD has a switch on the Back of the LCD which you have to turn on also. You have made mention of things you have done. Check to see if you have turned the switch on at the back of the set over? It will be in the area where all your RCA & HDMI slots etc. are. You should then see a Red Light on the front right of the TV. If you don't see the Red Light you haven't turned the main switch on. Something simple, but it could be your problem. From A Happy customer. Just trying to help out if Kogan's are out for the weekend. Hope this helps.

Hi again all,
Can someone who has purchased a 32" LCD give me some feedback on how it is going for them. Im not happy with mine at the moment... not sure what to do to fix it, (Hopefully could be a reception thing?).
Worst issues at the moment is that reds on closeups nearly turn flurecent and scrambled up.... also when the Olympic Rings fly across the screen, there is always a trail of pixels as well.
When I am looking at something like the news.... picture is perfect however.
Thanks Chumby

Chumby.. there are ways to fix a stuck pixel.. but not a dead pixel. A dead pixel is a black dot when you have the white (best to see with) or blue screen. I believe Kogan have a 0 dead pixel guarantee.. But stuck pixels they allow for 3 of em...
A quick check on google for stuck pixels brings up many fixes.. Try this one http://removestringfromobject.wordpress.com/2007/08/28/59/

Also Chumby you could try adjusting the R,B,G colour temps in settings.. One thing that annoyed me about the manual is that it does not explain what all the setting options actually do.. you either have to trial and error..or look it up on web. They should also have a troubleshooting guide..this may reduce some calls to kogan support. One thing to note is that the best resolution that the HD channels put out is 1080i, need blue ray to check 1080p...I have a sony home theatre system that is supposed to upscale dvd to 1080p but when i check with 'display' button it still says 1080i (even though connected with HDMI cable). I also cannot notice a great deal of difference between the HD channels and the regular digital channels (when showing the same content). Oh this is on the 42" full HD set

HI, Darren G out of all the comments left there is only really 1 that is left partially unsolved. Lets not forget that all the happy people are watching their lcds right now n the last thing they think of is leaving a positive blog on here. People are going to complain more than praise. I bought my lcd today and Im sure if i have any issue they will be more than happy to help. I've read blogs with people complaining about the product with out even seeing it let alone know much about electronics??? don't people have better things to do? If you want to pay more for a name brand with the same stats go right ahead. Besides there is a 5 year extended warrenty availible. A friend has a LG plasma and has had pixel and software issues only fixed through the extended warrenty. Peugeots are high priced... great name ect, and i know first hand they are less reliable than a Holden! kogans doing a good thing, give it a chance.
But Ruslan remember quality always comes first.

1 thing I forgot to ask, when I was in jb hifi sourcing prices the sales fella mentioned that companies that claim to have 4ms resonse time, is only '1 way'? therefor doubled to 8ms for 'both ways' sorta like difference between 1080i/1080p from my understanding. So what is your 5ms response time? Could you maybe explain this in more detail. thanks

Well I will post a positive note here, I got my 47" last week ( I must admit Toll are crap to deal with and it was delivered up-side down and when pointed out to the driver he just looked at me with a blank stare ) after getting it out of the box it was an easy set-up and goes well, also when connecting some new cables to the DVD to TV I had some problems so I contacted the help desk and they set me right so thanks to them.
You cannot blame what Toll do on Kogan as it is out of their hands but gee I would look around for other company's that do this type of work.

Yea.. I have a PS3 and as in the link below it states I should upscale a DVD to 1080p via a HDMI connection. I only ever get 1080i displayed....same as you John.
Not sure why this is...Ruslan... can you shed some light on this?

I recieved the my LCD TV back yesterday after a warrenty claim the moment it arrived after a 2 month wait and im not too impressed as instead of recieving a replacement instead I have the same TV with the audio fixed but still with the panel defects which was the initial concern and of more importance than the audio. If that is the quality that you claim to be satisfactory then I am extremely dissapointed especially after purchasing the extended 5 yr warrenty as well. I would apreciate either a LCD without 3 dark lines 5 pixels wide each or my money back if that cant be achieved. I have previously bought plasma panels and for me they are far superior, you dont have viewing angle issues, contrast ratios are far superior giving crisper pictures and they dont blur easily which I have also found whith my Kogan panel which is a full 1080p 42". They are cheaper compared to an equivalent LCD. Heat, power consumption and weight are very minimal costs in my opinion. I have heard great things about the Kogan brand but until convinced otherwise I am extremely disapointed in the flawed product I have recieved.

The price of the TV's is pretty much the biggest selling point of your product but if I'm planning to spend a thousand dollars I'd like to see what I'm getting before it comes. And the 7 day money back guarentee is nice and all, but the price for shipping and the price for returning the product would be a lost few hundred if i'm not happy.

I just turn kogan set volume down to 0 ..I dont hear any clicking... My main concern is that I am not sure that these sets are actually 1080p ..Has anybody played a blue ray disc through the HDMI port yet on 42" full hd? and when you press display button on remote did you see 1080p or 1080i?
If 1080i is best resolution obtained then that would amount to false advertising... ( I cannot check as I don't have blue ray player or ps3)... But surely if my home theater upscales to 1080p then I should see 1080p in display....
Sure the 1080i is still a good picture..but not what I paid for..

On some devices, such as upscaling DVD players, you can change the the resolution of the signal on the HDMI port, so getting 1080p might just be a matter of tweaking the settings on whatever you're connecting to the TV.

Hi Mark,
Yes you have the exact problem I had with the clicking noise and no you cant just put it on 0 volume, its still there only option is mute as you described. They fixed this eventually took 3 weeks however my panel has defects in it from the moment it was switched on as well as later developing the pinging sound. On light colours there is 3 thick vertical lines 5-6 pixels wide which are dark and clearly noticeable. They failed to correct this and now WONT RETURN EMAILS, even if you want the money back you cant because the 7 days are up by the time they get back to you etc. IM NOT HAPPY AND WOULD APPRECIATE SOME CUSTOMER SERVICE. All those who recieved a fault free TV I envy you.
Also did anyone else recieve anything when they purchased the extended warrenty???? I didnt seems dodgy to me as I have no proof of something I paid an additional $199 for. Just me maybe im not sure?

Sounds like you have had a horror ride with your set William :( We put ours in for sound repair and our 7 days return option is up tomorrow...so I'll be livid if it takes 3 weeks to be returned to us. We were told it is likely to be back tomorrow..but this remains to be seen. I think it is being repaired at Kogan rather than sent to an another repairer as we only have the sound troubles.
I would have thought that something should have been sent to you confirming that you had purchased an extended Warranty for who is Kogan to remember this a few years down the track at Kogan HQ? Even a return email confirming this as a form of receipt would suffice as a legal document if they can't come up with something else. I'd really like to try and look through my fingers at all the problems we have had and do business with Kogan again but it's becoming difficult. We will see how quickly it comes back from repair. I could easily flame up and go into ballistic mode as it is. Keep contacting William to get the set repaired as it doesn't sound as it is fit for the purpose you purchased it for and the Trades Practices Act is quite clear on that matter. I'd like to say to friends..yes go Kogan!! But it's becoming so that I'm thinking..oh my..maybe I shouldn't. We'll see what happens tomorrow.

UPDATE: I would like to report back to this blog and leave some positive comments. “08-08-08 is not my lucky number” but 12-08-08 is, as I am now enjoying the Beijing Olympics in full HD glory on my 47" 100Hz Kogan TV, a little late but better late than never.
The "dud" power supply problem turned out to be a faulty "secret" on/off switch hidden under the RH corner speaker on the bottom of the TV. This switch was also stuck in the Off position and needed to be pressed several times to release. (maybe because of the rough handling TOLL and the Upside down delivery IPEC). Also the "secret" switch is not identified by any label, nor mentioned in the micro paper instruction manual. Many thanks to "Ian M", (this blog), and the Kogan return email for pointing out the exact location, hard to find in the dark with so much large screen real estate. Discussions with Kogan administration identify that majority of customers (200) needed help also however this was not available to me last friday night when I unpacked the set. NOTE:This will not be a future problem as the next delivery will have a sticky label pointer. I have also suggested to Kogan admin that a HELP link/download be available on this site. ie: additional technical PDF's, notes, connection diagrams.
As for TOLL/IPEC, the poor delivery service experienced contrasted the good sales efficiency of the otherwise excellent Kogan TV. Observations; 1. Toll/IPEC tracking number did not work (even after extended phone calls to Toll customer help the staff could not give me details of where my goods were in the delivery chain). The goods were delivered while the toll customer help stated that they had not yet left Kogan Altona. 2. The Toll/IPEC delivery van drove off the track, onto the lawn, -and got bogged. I spent more than an hour refilling the 10m long, deep van wheel ruts left behind. 3. Lastly and most importantly, the TV was delivered upside down. It appears that it was stored and moved roughly by the damage to the carton and strapping. The carton was delivered upside down and the cardboard box was badly marked and soiled on the box top opening flaps. When the cardboard box was opened the TV was upside down. This is not a means to point the finger or blame anyone individually but meant provide feedback to protect the fragility of the product and to improve the delivery systems to all customers. I hope that my bad delivery experience is an isolated one, but if it points to pattern then urgent attention needs to be given to improve delivery quality to the customer.

Hope you are reading this Rus. TOLL does it again..if you have been following the saga of the HD 42" with sound defect..our set was picked up by TOLL at mid-day yesterday and we were told it would be back to us today..unfortunately by this afternoon no one knew where the set actauly was Frankston AWA or your Malvern office (we were told it was going direct to Kogan..we assumed Altona) so effectively it has been lost in the TOLL System and we are now without a set...no reality based confirmation on when or IF we are going to get a functioning set back and of course our 7 days is up. I asked for a definite confirmation of what if anything isgoing on tonight but only some weak assurance that we 'should' get a call tomorrow. Well...'should' doesn't do it. 'Should' is unacceptable. TOLL losing ourset is unacceptable. Not having a replacement tonite is unacceptable..and not getting an answer tonight is totally unacceptable as I cansee this dragging on tomorrow and into the weekend. NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Having defective sound was the straw that broke the camel's back..now the set being lost is the END OF WHAT I AM PREPARED TO TAKE!!! My email is in receive mode..I'd like a definitive answer tonite and not some whiff of a maybe answer or more BS and confusion tomorrow.

William and Mark, we are aware of the issues you have, thanks for letting us know. Mark, if you e-mail rachel@kogan.com.au she can update you on the repair. William, if you e-mail support@kogan.com.au we will work swiftly to resolve the issue.
We have sold over 15,000 TVs in Austraila with a customer satisfaction rating of over 99%.
With regards to the warranty, we record the serial number and warranty terms of every TV that is dispatched. If you would like another copy of your tax invoice which includes this, please e-mail sales@kogan.com.au.
Chumby and John, we've setup a PS3 to all our 1080p sets and had it displaying a 1080p signal for games and Blu-ray. However, if you're watching a standard DVD then there will be no difference between 1080i and 1080p. I hope that helps.
We are currently looking at setting up display centres around the country. At the moment we're concentrating on offering the best value TVs to all Australians, and that means running a streamlined business model. In the meantime, if you head to our media section there are links to third party journalist reviews of some of our products.

Hi Chumby, we do have a zero dead pixel policy and a two stuck pixel policy -- which is better than the major brands! If the stuck pixel video doesn't help please e-mail us at support@kogan.com.au so we can help you out.
With the trailing of the rings, that should certainly not be happening. Get in touch with us, and if it turns out to be faulty we will happily replace it.
Steven, the TV has co-axial digital output. This is the connector for your headphones. Depending on the type of headphones you have, you may need a small adapter which you can pickup from any local electronics store.
Dez, I am not aware of one way response time. Response time typically refers to how long it takes for a pixel to change state. This can not be measured in the way that the JB-HiFi salesman has explained to you. If you find any more info on this I'll be happy to take a look.

I don't want to go through all the hassles of returning and waiting and getting frustrated like some people on here have had to endure, I know we don't live in a perfect world, but I guess this is one way of reaching that goal. Failing this I don't think I would like to part with my hard earned cash, this may seem a bit harsh and out of the ordinary, but I have been stung a few times in the past and have lost out :-(( I really really like what I see and the specs are just what I am looking for. Are you happy with the picture quality?
How is the 100 hz motion flow operating?
Any feedback on the quality of the product would be appreciated.
Thanks

after dez has said "I just read the 47 inch tvs won't be dispatched untill 31st of october i hope is is a mistake!" I've just spotted this on the item description also. Hoping this is only for newer customers and ours are on the way. Just sent an email to ask for confirmation. Tomorrow, Monday, should tell. Fingers crossed.

I have sent an email with no reply, but got through to sales on Phone after Heaps of Attemps, I Just thought I would Share what they told me so that others trying would know what is going on with the Shipment. Apparently they have over 700 Televisions to ship out, so it may be 3 or 4 Days before all are Shipped. I was told to check my Email every evening for Consignment Details from TOLL. So I guess some of us may not receive our TV this week? I hope this helps. Although I understand that Kogan would be very busy Getting TV's Out It would have been nice for this to have been explained on this Site. It doesn't bother me waiting, but I just have to make sure someone is home when TOLL Arrives.

yeah lack of information is the biggest downside, the big pull in was the fact the Tv was being "Dispatched" on 14th Sep (which was a Sunday anyway,so was anything dispatched on a "Sunday""
And then get a standard email saying basically toll will email you and that's it.We sit on our butt at home for the next week "In case" Toll emails/rocks up at our front door? Give us some info and turn your darm live support service on
