The eBay/Paypal issue has been doing the rounds of the media the last week, and now it seems the ACCC is getting involved.
It's no secret that Kogan Technologies uses eBay to generate a lot of our business. It's simply really -- as the world's biggest marketplace, we'd be crazy to ignore it.
It also lets our customers bid for items so the market dictates prices rather than the traditional retail/markup approach.
I don't see a problem at all with eBay wanting to make us use Paypal. Sure, it will eat into a bit of the hip pocket for some users but the safety benefits are great.
It's a bit like me saying you can only buy a Kogan remote control if you've purchased a TV from us. It's not our place to say eBay can or cannot integrate the two parts of their business. What do you think?
